Milk tastes sweet but curd tastes sour why is it so?

This is because of the presence of sugar named lactose in milk which makes milk tastes sweet but when it is converted into curd by the process of fermentation , lactobacillus bacteria converts lactose sugar into lactic acid that's why curd tastes Sour.
